This is a recently built classic 5 star luxury hotel at the confluence of the Adyar River and the Bay of Bengal. As with all Leela hotels, the design and décor is luxuriously elegant and the rooms are well appointed and high on modern comforts. The cuisine is excellent with its variety of restaurants including the excellent Indian restaurant, Jamavar and the Spectra all day dining restaurant. The swimming pool area is absolutely beautiful and relaxing – and the pool itself is huge, very clean and a joy in which to take a swim. To top it all off the service and courtesy from the staff is outstanding. Adyar is a leafy suburb in the south part of Chennai, and conveniently located for shopping, sightseeing and travelling further south in to Tamil Nadu.
